Places to Stay

  • Duluth/Canal Park Area

    There are many hotels around downtown Duluth and the Canal Park area. We recommend looking for lodging early, as rooms fill up quickly during August.

    The downtown Holiday Inn has a shuttle that runs to the airport and down to Canal Park.

  • Inn on Lake Superior

    We have a small block of rooms reserved for Friday and Saturday. If you want to extend your stay to Thursday or Sunday this can likely be arranged.

    To stay at the Inn on Lake Superior call 218-726-1111 and give the group name: Horness/Schwarz wedding.

  • Two Harbors

    There are a number of places further north if you’re looking to stay closer to Two Harbors. Grand Superior Lodge and Superior Shores Resort are options in this area.

    If you’re wanting to stay on the shore, check out lakeside cottages in the area.

Traveling to Minnesota

 

Fly into MSP

Logistics
MSP is the main airport for the Twin Cities. If you have some time to kill, the light rail runs from the airport to downtown Minneapolis and the Mall of America.

The drive from MSP to the Duluth/Two Harbors area is 2.5 to 3 hours.

Logistics
If you fly into Duluth you’ll save some driving time. It’s about a 15 minute drive from DLH into downtown Duluth or a 45 minute drive up to Two Harbors.
